Smartphone Camera: Tricks for Kids and Teens

Description:

Kids and teens (ages 8 to 18):  learn practical special effects and tricks to spice up your photos, vlog, home videos, tik-tok videos and Instagram stories. Together, we will create a forest horror movie on an iPad.

All ages welcome with children 15 years and under accompanied by an adult.


Facilitator Bio:

Sophia is a jack of all trades. She is a director / producer, and has been making films and videos as her passion and profession since 2008. This former Roberts Creek local has a BA in film production from the University of British Columbia. She has also worked as a youth film making mentor at the Gulf Islands Film and Television School, Access to Media Education Society, Deer Crossing the Art Farm, and Rolling Earth Centre.


What to Bring / Wear:

Water, power snacks, sturdy footwear, any camera or camera phone and a cushion. If you don't have a phone or a camera, let us know and we can lend you one.
